The Bear Paw model is the second
most popular snowshoe shape. It takes its origin from Indians Nations of
Eastern Canada and from the Great North of Canada, particularly the
Indian Innu Nation (Montagnais). Mostly used for hunting, trapping, bird
watching and long-distance adventures in dense forest.
- Frame made of Appalachian white ash and lacing made of cow raw hide.
- High quality varnish to keep the raw hide and the frame in good condition.
- Harness sold separately.
Note: It
is recommended to apply varnish once a year at the end of the season to
prevent the wood frame and raw hide to absorb moisture and water. That
will extend the life of your natural snowshoe. We recommend using a wood
boat varnish.
